You're Here

A familiar air
A fond memory of a distant childhood.
Not understanding what it means to be afraid,
diving head first into anything that passes,
living uncontrollably,
loving insatiably,
never knowing the limit of a grown up
or self imprisoned human.
It is for all these reasons why I hold on to you,
like you are all I have left from a moment so sacred to me,
so young,
so pure.
You know me and I know you.
We have seen and loved the same things.
I find that remarkable.
I find you inside my head, my thought and my breath.
I find you in my wounds, my scars and my bed.
you are here and I love it.
